When putting in a text box on the Flowchart and you link it to a process step box. The arrow connects to the process step box but not to the text box

Yes that is correct "connector shapes" i.e. lines do not connect to a text box.

However there are a couple of ways to get the same effect if not better!

1. The best way

1.1 Drag your text box onto the page
1.2 Then drag your line onto the page
1.3 Connect one end of the line to the flowchart step (preferably the middle of the shape)
1.4 Position the other end of the line next to the text box where you want it to be
1.5 Hold down the "shift key" on your keyboard and click on the text box and the line
1.6 Then carefully right click on one of the highlighted shapes and chose "Action" then 'Group'
1.7 Now try moving the text box around the page

2. An alternative method

2.1 Simply use a shape from on of the palettes and don’t assign it to the tree view
2.2 You can edit the shape to remove the boarder right click format / stroke style / uncheck use automatic / change colour to white
2.3 then change the background colour to white / right click / format / fill style / uncheck use automatic / select standard tab / choose white in the centre / click ok
2.4 You can now draw lines to this shape like it’s a text box

We are not supposed to spend our lives administrating risk plans that can be automated.
